Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with bumping to the top corners and rubbing to the top and lower edges uniform tanning of block edges and light foxing to the text block edges. Age toning of the pages. Light foxing of the end pages with previous owners name and details to the free front page and half title page. Chipping and back strip edges. Multiple small closed tears lower a tear to the top right-hand corner of the panel (previous owner has supported the tear and other numerous tears the verso of the dustwrapper). Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges with a small piece missing from the top left-hand corner of the front panel and a large piece missing from the top right-hand corner of the review panel. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and either side of the back strip with sunning and stains present. The major damage to the dustwrapper has been various tears to the front panel and top edge of the back strip which a previous owner has supported with tape to the verso – tape still in situ.
