The text is illustrated with black and white photographs, the occasional colour photograph, black and white and coloured illustrations, numerous advertisements for various businesses dealing in interior decoration and some furnishing fabric samples. Rose coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured embossed titles to the front panel and back strip. The title does actually say at all; but, the book is a little different inasmuch not only does it give guidance to how a decorate an interior, but also how various pieces of furniture / furnishings are made and cared for are given; modern furniture design (1950s style), the evolution of English furniture etc. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges; rubbing and fraying of the book corners with the underlying board are visible to the lower right-hand corner of the front panel. Heavy flecking to all book panels please see photograph. Light tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages.
