The text is illustrated with numerous black-and-white photographs and black and white illustrations. Gray coloured cloth covered boards with illustration of a peacock to the front panel. Black coloured embossed titles to the front panel and back strip. The first book on a form of embroidery that creates lace Punto Tagliato. Softening to the back strip edges with bumping of the book corners. Some bumping and rubbing of the lower book edges and bumping of the top book edges. A few stains, marks and results of insect activity can be seen to the book panels with sunning of the back strip. Fine foxing to the book edges. Uniform tanning of the text block edges and pages. Offset tanning to the end pages with previous owners name to the top right-hand corner of the free front end page. Third Edition. Size: 8vo - over 7" - 9" tall.
