In 1815 Rudolph Ackermann published a two-volume set "A History of the University of Cambridge, Its Colleges, Halls and Public Buildings" . This small book is a tribute to that monumental work. The reproductions of the original illustrations are just magic . Part of the King Penguin series of books number 59. A little rubbing to the book corners and backstrip edges. Foxing to the textblock edges and endpapers. Age toning of the pages. Chipping to the top backstrip edge with heavy sunning, rubbing and insect nibbles also present. The rear dustwrapper shows all so insect damage, close to the fold over crease. Browning to the verso of the dustwrapper. Size: 12mo (standard paperback).
