The text is illustrated with the occasional black-and-white illustration, formulas and tables. Dark red coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed decoration to the edge of the front panel and gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. "This book serves to introduce the student to the principles and practice of qualitative and quantitative analysis. Commencing with the first principle of analytical manipulation, the reactions and methods of separation of the metal and acid radicals are described.
