This book is a look at the aboriginal writer, Oodgeroo, by various authors, and at the end of each article works cited or bibliography is given. The aboriginal woman writer Oodgeroo (also known as Kath Walker) was born of the Noonuccal Tribe, and was custodian of the land of her tribe Minjerriba (North Stradbroke Island) . In 1993. She died at the age of 72, and through the 1960s and 1970s. She was a legendary force in Australian poetry. But she was more than a poet and writer, and this book "... reflects on all aspects of her extraordinary career, from the visual artist to the aboriginal spokesperson, performer, activist, and educator.
