A ring bound periodical of maps from 1942 through to 1951 of plant diseases throughout the world. The ring binder is dark blue coloured cloth with a very sturdy metal binding. Began in 1942. Gilt coloured titles to the back strip. Loose-leaf maps kept up to date by revised editions. A series of maps published by Commonwealth Mycological Institute (CMI) in Great Britain from 1942 through to 1952 (in this selection) of various plant pathogens and their distribution worldwide. The map consists of a map of the world, plant affected and where the disease has been reported, and on the verso of the map the actual countries affected. Also Titled: IMI Distribution Maps of Plant Diseases. This book is an ex-library book and has the faults of same: multiple library stamps throughout the text and to the book endpapers. Attached to the front paste-down is a list of missing maps and a metal paperclip is attached to the top edge of the first page with notification of an increase of postage in 1951. The paperclip has started to rust a little and has affected the next couple of pages. Light browning of the text block edges and pages with some rust marks and handling marks to some of the pages as well. Bumping of the book corners and the book shows usage. Library sticker affixed to the lower spine edge and remains of tape can also be seen. Size: Oblong 8vo - 7" - 9" tall but wider. Not paginated pagination is done via map number..
