At the rear of the book is a photograph of Simenon Lord's gravestone and an illustration of Lord's Mill, Botany. Illustrated paperback binding with white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. This is a biographical novel about Simenon Lord, born in England in 1771, but, at the age of 19 came to the colony of New South Wales and became a prominent figure in the mercantile world of the new colony; he was a pioneer in manufacturing and a shipbuilder. He died in 1840 at the age of 69. Creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges, and, very noticeable rubbing of the book panels.
