Colour frontispiece with tissue guard and associated offset tanning to the title page, includes several other coloured plates, and numerous other black-and-white photographs and a map. Some of the illustrations are previously appeared in a book titled "Village Life in Palestine" by the illustrator. There is a gift inscription dated December 1922 from the Werribee higher elementary School scripture examination. Slight offset tanning of front and rear end pages, the sewn binding is visible between pages 16 and 17, handling marks to the spine section of the binding, title and part of the illustrated front board in a mock gold colour laid over a black image.
