The front panel of the dust jacket has been pasted to the front panel of the front board. Undated , the book comes from a collection that was mainly 1920 -- 1930 publications. The following is a review of the film was made from the book; English-born character star Victor McLaglen made his Hollywood debut in this highly successful Western melodrama about brothers, separated in early childhood, who wound up as opponents in a side-show wrestling match. There is a dance-hall girl (Marguerite de la Motte) and the usual Western trappings but the film's true highlight is the climactic wrestling match between McLaglen and co-star William Russell, a battle that reminded several reviewers of the legendary slugfest in the first version of The Spoilers (1914). Basis of the film blood on the Moon with Lillie Hayward and Harold Shumate (1948), and first published in 1943, however the 20th-century Western writers dictionary does not record the American title. (Although it is referenced in the index and given a publication date of 1943) the pages of the book are very very brown. There is rubbing to the top of the spine section of the binding, and to the base edge of the boards. Even though the book has a dust jacket, the edges of the spine appear to have been rubbed. The dust jacket is lightly chipped at the head and tail of the spine section. Red coloured boards with black line decoration on front panel and black "logo" on the lower right-hand corner of the front panel. Black writing to the spine. Very minor bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and there is some bumping to the lower book edges. A little rubbing to the book corners and faint dust marks and foxing to the top paper edge. Offset tanning and heavy foxing to the end papers and there are a few foxing spots to the next few and last few pages. Illustrated dustwapper, showing a lone white man amongst Indians, with red and black writing on the front panel and blue-and-white on the spine. The dustwapper is heavily rubbed and faded. The back panel has also suffered quite substantial grubby marks. Rubbing and very slight chipping to the dustwapper corners and a little to the head of the spine. The spine has also become somewhat sun faded and darkened. Foxing spots are also present on the dustwapper, particularly the fold over panels. On the verso of the dustwapper there are foxing spots and the backstrip has become quite brown. Clipping to the dustwapper, front fold over lower right-hand corner. Jim Final was released from Yuma Prison on the proviso that he played peacemaker between an unhappy Apache Tribe, due to broken promises and harsh treatment by the invading whiteman, and the persecutors of that tribe.
