This book is divided into five sections or books, the first covering the birth of classical archaeology, the second Egypt, the third Babylon, the fourth Mexico and the new world, and the final book, is a retrospective and perspective of archaeology with mention of the dead Sea Scrolls and also of India and underwater archaeology as well as the advent of aerial archaeology.
