The author has considered meditation from all of its viewpoints, eastern, (in all of its flavours) Middle Eastern, (Jewish and Islamic), and Christian. He does not recommend one over the other, simply offering that the form that works is the one that is best. He avoids psychiatric jargon, or the mystification of religion.
