"Russian Documents.........Mongolian Dust" is a travel adventure. A story of a journey of 21,000 kilometres overland in a Land Rover, from Australia to Switzerland.On the back cover of the book, I ask the reader , "Would travelling from Australia to Switzerland overland in a Land Rover be your idea of a fun trip?Then how about not having a shower for five weeks or jumping into an icy Russian river?" The story was written by me....from a woman's perspective and gives a raw and open account of the physical expedition and my challenging emotional journey as I experienced many different cultures from Korea, through Russia, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, across the Black Sea, Bulgaria, Hungary, Germany and on to Switzerland. The trip took five months to complete and we camped in 117 very diverse campsites from the 40 degree heat of the Gobi Desert to minus -10 in Russia and Mongolia. The book is B5 size, has 263 pages of text and has 12 pages of fabulous colour photos to take the reader on the journey with me. I hope to inspire many others, particularly women, to find their passions and be courageous in pursueing their dreams. My book is self published and printed by Central Queensland University in Rockhampton. |
